Batman and the Outsiders had many flaws, mainly in the writing where things made no sense (example #1: Batman congratulates Geo-Force on killing a villain in the debut issue?!); however, I quite enjoyed it at the time and again in the Showcase reprint edition. Black Lightning, Metamorpho, and Katana were all really cool even if K often fell prey to "comic book sword wielded syndrome," I.e., a character based on a weapon she never really uses to its full capability, though not as much as folks like Black Knight and Valkyrie who were always using the hilt or flat side to avoid skewering and hacking bad guys.
I voted for Metamorpho because he looks cool, has cool powers, has a great backstory and personality, and is the first guy to ever turn down JLA membership. He really belonged on the Doom Patrol, though!

I went with Geo-Force, mostly because he always felt like an almost ran in terms of becoming a big name. Lord knows DC tried pushing him for a while there, then they just decided "Screw it, let's trash his reputation and ruin the character."
Which leaves me Katana, who is probably second for me, only by the width of a human hair. I'm giddy as a 5 year old at Disney that we have some version of her on Arrow, and I keep hoping they're going to make her a bigger part of the cast.

Both sides basically suck at this point. We deserve better.
They like to get all "folksy" when campaigning and pretend they're "jus' reg'lar folks" rather than an out of touch elite who have never had to punch the clock and who get transported over or past the rest of us via private jets and limousines. Sadly many voters seem to fall for this crap EVERY SINGLE TIME.
I bet they go through 20 bottles of hand sanitizer after a meet and greet with the masses, trying to scrub off that nasty skin-crawling feeling they get after having touched a working slob.
