I was always a big fan of Batman and the Outsiders. I loved the characters, who had a bunch of issues but were still heroic. They were very much a dysfunctional family, a bit like the XMen, before Xmen comics turned to crap.
Anyway, the Outsiders would make good playable V&V characters, as they're not unmanageably powerful ( like Superman) and have an interesting mix of abilities. These are the 1985 versions of the team, mostly because that's my favorite iteration
Geo Force, Halo, Black Lightning, Katana, Metamorpho and Looker made up the core team.
I'll start with GEO FORCE. I note that his powers have changed a lot over the years, with different writers. This is the 1985, Mike W. Barr version.

1. Gravity Control. x56 weight ( due to his honorable nature he will only use increase gravity against super strong opponents )

5. Heightened Endurance + 20
6. Regeneration : but requires him to surround himself with Earth, can't move while regenerating, but heals per round rather than per day.
Weakness: Connection to the Earth, gradually weakens if off the Earth, not touching the ground for an extended period ( GM reduce strength, endurance, power, hit points over days ).
Weakness: low self control. Brion often rushes into combat without thinking (can be clever and tactical, but NOT if people he cares about are threatened). Unlike the other Outsiders he will kill an opponent who is trying to murder innocents ( eg killed Baron Bedlam who lead an invasion of Markovia).

Can harden hands into clubs/maces/hammers or create blades +1d12 to hth damage.
Can shape body into shapes like walls, bridges, furniture etc.
Can turn into a liquid or a gas, defense against physical attacks as non corporealness. Poison gas attacks as chemical power(above). Can float , as a gas at half movement rate.
5. Regeneration 4.8/turn. Can't regenerate chemical damage.

Weakness: susceptible to mind control and psionic attacks. Double damage and -4 to save against mind control.'

I like the Outsiders because while they're powerful, they aren't demigods like some of the Justice League, and they have an interesting variety of personalities and abilities.
In the early and mid 80s they had the same vibe as the Byrne/Claremont era Xmen. They were more than just colleagues, they were nearly family.
Later writers messed around with them but in 1985, with Mike W Barr writing and Alan Davis on art, they were the comic book I looked forward to the most.

Try just pasting an image in your post, or if that doesn't work, try using the attach function to attach the image to your post. Seems attached images are not showing thumbnails like the old forum so I'll look to see if there is a setting for that.
